A strong earthquake jolted southwest Mexico on Thursday noon and shook the capital of Mexico City, rattling buildings and prompting offices to be evacuated. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale jolted 15 kilometers north of Tecpan de Galeana, about 277 kilometers southwest of Mexico City.
