Heavy rainfall in and around Surat led to waterlogging in several parts of the city. The city recorded rainfall of about 2 inches on the morning of 12th July, and this led to flood-like situation in some areas. People had to wade through knee-deep water in areals like Limbayat underpass, Surat Navsari Road, VIP road and Dindoli railway underpass. The Kamrunagar tenament in Limbayat was also waterlogged and residents had to bear much difficulties. Heavy rains have also lashed other parts of Gujarat.
