Cinegoers have a reason to cheer as the Maharashtra government has allowed outside food in movie theatres across the state. The state government will formulate a policy on what action has to be taken against theatres which don’t comply with the decision. People will now be able to carry their favourite homemade food items to cinema halls and multiplexes, which is healthy and nutritious as well as easy on their pockets. Earlier, theatres used to overcharge movie buffs, who had no option but to buy the overpriced snacks or stay hungry while enjoying their favourite movie.
