Even though Uttar Pradesh government published a full-page advertisement on the front page of a national daily, listing the measures taken by the state to improve women's safety, in yet another incident of crime against women, two sisters in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut have allegedly stopped going to school after a man threatened them of acid attack. One of the victim said that a boy repeatedly threatened them of throwing acid and that stopped them from going to school. However, RN Singh, Superintendent of Police said that both parties are neighbours and have had an troublesome history. The cops assured that the accused will be questioned, and if any evidence is found against the accused, action will be taken.
