Heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu wreak havoc in the region. A part of road was washed away in flash floods on Wednesday. As a result National Highway 3 was blocked. And vehicles were stranded following the blockade. The flash flood was triggered by incessant rain in the state. IMD has predicted heavy showers in the region this week. Since years, during rainy season, flash flood is a factor that scares the residents of Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu. A flash flood is a rapid flooding of low-lying areas rivers, dry lakes and basins which endangers the life of residents of the region. It may be caused by heavy rain associated with a severe thunderstorm, hurricane, tropical storm.
