A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal triggered rainfall chances across Odisha. The capital of the state Bhubaneswar too get heavy rainfall as a result of this low-pressure area. Incessant rain in the city has created chaos as streets are inundated and even there is water inside houses in some areas. Waterlogging is reported from many parts of the city creating a flood-like situation. The met department predicted more rains in coming days. According to the met department, the state’s rain deficit improved significantly after heavy showers.
