Heavy downpour lashed Kerala’s Palakkad city in the past few days. Flood-like situation are cropping up in the city and adjoining areas of the district. Due to incessant rainfall, water level rose to a dangerous level. The rain water has entered in the low-lying areas which has disrupted traffic movement. Kerala chief minister P Vijayan has already dubbed the situation ‘very grim’ in the state. He has instructed district collectors to make all necessary arrangements for the people staying at the relief camps.
