In Aluva near Kochi, water is still flooding the area due to incessant rains even though there has been a decrease of at least 1.5 feet water. The Aluva Siva Temple is still under water and it seems as if it will take time for the levels to go down. Rains continue to lash the state and flooding as well as landslides are resulting in loss of life and property. The government has declared a state of emergency and rescue operations are on in areas hit the worst.
