Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has been trolled by netizens for singing an Indian song at a Pakistan Independence Day function in New York. Atif was also crticised by the Pakistani media for singing 'Tera Hone Laga Hoon' from a Bollywood movie 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' earlier this month. Several of Atif's fans questioned his patriotism and also lashed out at him on the social media. However, many Pakistani artists including Shafaqat Amanat Ali defended Atif and stood in support of him. The singer responded to haters by writing a long Instagram post, stating that hopefully things will change in a new Pakistan.
