The Sabarimala shrine in Kerala was closed for devotees as Pampa river overflows. The Travancore Devaswom Board has appealed to all devotees to abstain from trekking to the hill shrine because of rising water levels. As both Pampa and Triveni rivers are overflowing, it has blocked the two bridges connecting the shrine. For safety of pilgrims, necessary information has been given to district administration and police. Though temple will be closed for darshan for devotees, there will be no change in rituals and poojas informed temple authorities.
