India faces colossal void, as Atal Bihari Vajpayee passes away. And as s the country mourns the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Central Government has announced a seven-day state mourning throughout the country. The tri-colour will be flown at half-mast during the time. Vajpayee's funeral procession will take place at Smriti Sthal at 1:30 pm on Friday afternoon. Vajpayee served as Prime Minister of India thrice (1996, 1998 and 1999). His tenures lasted 13 days, 13 months and a near full five-year term when he went for early elections in 2004 respectively.
