Yet another story that expresses gratitude for the Indian Navy that has emerged from Kerala for their rescue efforts in the state. A ‘thanks’ note was painted on the roof-top of the house from where the Naval ALH piloted by Commander Vijay Varma had rescued two women from flood-hit area on August 17. Kerala is facing the worst floods in the past 100 years in which 357 people have died so far. Rescue operations by Indian Army, Navy, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and India Coast Guard are underway.
