Eid-ul-Adha is also known as a festival of sacrifice. This festival is celebrated by sacrificing a goat in the name of God. On this festival, goats of different breeds are up for sale in the market near Jama Masjid. The seller's name their goats inspired from Bollywood stars like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, et al, to make it attractive for the buyers. The goat market can be visited from morning till late night. The story behind the festival dates back to the time of Prophet Ibrahim. He was asked to sacrifice his precious thing in the name of God - to test his faith and willingness to sacrifice his precious thing. He decided to give away his son but he rammed a sheep instead. And that’s how a sheep or a goat became a symbol of sacrifice for Muslims.
