Vitamin D is known for helping with building healthy bones but according to a recent study the benefits of vitamin D might be even more. It has been found that vitamin D can reduce cancer risk and breast cancer mortality in women. In similar studies a relationship was determined between vitamin D and breast cancer mortality. Women with higher concentrations of vitamin D were found to have a 50 percent lower chance of death by breast cancer than those with lower vitamin D levels. Vitamin D can be absorbed by direct sunlight exposure, supplements or foods rich in it.
