The Home Ministry to launch the national registry of sex offenders today, making India the 9th country to maintain such a list of convicted sex offenders the list will include details like the names photographs address fingerprints DNA samples Pan and Aadhaar numbers of the offender's. Unlike the U.S., the registry will only be accessible to the law enforcement agencies. The National Crime Records Bureau will maintain the database.
