A shocking video of a Dalit woman being kidnapped in front of several onlookers has emerged from Karnataka's Mandya district. The woman can be seen screaming and kicking as she is bundled into a car by 3-4 men. The woman and her husband were earlier being forced to work on the farm of a man called Nagesh, after the couple failed to repay a loan. However, the couple escaped from the farm sometime earlier and were living in hiding. The husband died a month ago, and then Nagesh was able to track her down. He then sent his henchmen to kidnap and bring her to his farm. Based on the video, the police have arrested Nagesh and are on the lookout for other accused.
