Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Pakyong Airport in Sikkim. The airport inaugurated on September 24 that is nine years after the foundation stone was laid. The airport is the hilly state Sikkim's first and only airport and is situated about 30 km from capital Gangtok. Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and Union Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu were also present at the inauguration.
