The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the first list of candidates for Lok Sabha polls 2019. In total, 182 candidates' names were revealed by union minister JP Nadda in a press conference. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest polls from Varanasi for the second time while BJP president Amit Shah will contest LS polls from Gandhinagar. Among other noted names, union ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari will contest from Lucknow and Nagpur, respectively. MoS external affairs VK Singh will contest from Ghaziabad, where he defeated Raj Babbar (Congress) in 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
