The Assembly election results for the state of Maharashtra and Haryana are scheduled to be announced on October 24. According to October 21, exit polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to retain power in both the states with Congress party projected to manage a second position. As per polls in Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is expected to win 230 seats in the assembly polls. Meanwhile, competition between BJP and Congress is expected to be neck to neck in Haryana. As exit polls projected 32-44 seats for BJP and 30-42 seats for Congress.
