NBA All-Star Game starter 'Magic' Johnson was born on August 14, 1959. He won NCAA and NBA championships in consecutive years. In the year 1980, he won five championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. He was selected in NBA All-Rookie Team and named an NBA All-Star Game starter. Johnson was diagnosed with HIV during a physical test before the year 1991-92 NBA season. In November 1991 he declared his retirement from basketball.
