The CBI may not file a supplementary chargesheet against Gurugram police officers who were accused of botching up the probe into the murder of a Class 2 student in a private school around two years ago. The move is likely to benefit the police officers who were part of the investigation. On September 8, 2017, the 7-year-old student was found in pool of blood with his throat slit inside the popular school of Gurugram. Within a few hours, Gurugram police had arrested a bus conductor of the school, holding him responsible for the murder. Later, upon the demand of the slain student’s family, the case was handed over to the CBI on September 23. The central investigation agency, after two months of probe, had arrested a Class 11 student of the same school for allegedly murdering the junior student, and gave a clean chit to the bus conductor. The agency also raised questions over the investigation carried out by Gurugram police.
