Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were fined Rs 20 lakh each for their controversial statements made recently on a popular tv show. BCCI Ombudsman DK Jain published the order on the official website on April 20. Following their brief suspension, Pandya and Rahul will pay a fine of Rs 20 lakh each, including payment of Rs 1 lakh each to the ‘most deserving widows of ten constables in para-military forces who have lost their lives on duty’. The remaining 10 lakh rupees will be donated by both cricketers to the ‘Cricket Association for the blind’ fund.
