Delhiites got respite from the sweltering heat after rains lashed most part of the city on Monday night with gusty winds. The Meteorological (Met) office gusty winds and cloudy sky weather conditions will prevail in the next three-four days. Rainfall at isolated places, gutsy winds and cloudy sky brought the mercury down and kept the humidity levels between 45% and 65%. “A western disturbance over Arabian Sea is causing these conditions. On Tuesday and Wednesday thunderstorm with light rain or lightning and gusty winds up to 30-40km per hour are expected,” a Met official said. Though temperature might touch 40 degrees Celsius again on Thursday, it is unlikely that Delhi NCR will witness heatwave conditions in the next seven days.
