The Election Commission of India expressed that Vivek Oberoi-starrer 'PM Narendra Modi' should not be released till May 19 in order to ensure fair elections. A committee of seven EC officials watched the film in a special screening and prepared a 20-page report. The EC cited 17 dialogues in the film that prompted their decision to stall the biopic. They said that the film's release could 'tilt the balance' in favour of a certain political party contesting in the elections. Reports suggest that the film shows the PM as a 'saintly figure'.
