Japan's Emperor Naruhito, who ascended the throne on May 1 this year, will formally proclaim his enthronement on October 22. Over 2000 guests from Japan and rest of the world will attend the ceremony, including over a hundred members of royal families from across the world. Foreign royals attending the ceremony include King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, King Philippe of Belgium, King Felipe VI of Spain, as well as the UK’s Prince Charles and Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
