An under-construction bridge being built on river Mulavagu in Telangana's Vemulawada was washed away during heavy rains. The heavy flow of water in the river swept away the iron rods leading to collapse of the bridge. Locals, of course, alleged that the low quality of raw materials being used in the construction was responsible for the collapse. Two bridges were being built on the river since 2016. Of these, one has been completed and the second one was under construction.
