Ujjain district collector Shashank Mishra organised special prayers at Ramghat on the banks of Kshipra river to appease Gods and end the destruction caused by the floods in Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rains have resulted in swollen Kshipra river. Mishra said, ‘Ujjain is an old religious and spiritual city. There are certain traditions and beliefs of the city. In accordance to the same, prayers were offered for peace, security and for the angry river to calm down with stoppage of excessive rainfall.’
