The district administration has imposed Section 144 in Ayodhya district in anticipation of the SC verdict on the title suit. Prohibitory orders will remain in place till December 10 — four days after the Babri demolition anniversary. Section 144 prohibits assembly of four or more people and empowers the administration and police to book people for rioting.The order also restricts the use of drones, unmanned aerial vehicles for filming or shooting inside the district. Most importantly, sale and purchase of crackers will not be allowed without permission of the magistrate even during Deepawali. Shops will be placed only on designated places surveyed by the DM.
