Aravind Adiga, the fourth Indian-born Booker Prize winner, was born on October 23, 1974 in Chennai. His maiden novel 'The White Tiger' won the Man Booker Prize in 2008. Adiga studied English literature at Columbia University, New York and secured M. Phil from Magdalen College, Oxford. The Chennai-born writer and journalist also worked for various news publishing houses. Apart from 'The White Tiger', Adiga's other well-known works are 'Between the Assassinations,' 'Last Man in Tower' and 'Selection Day.'
