Gurkha claims a special appeal as it is styled on the legendary Mercedes G-Wagen lines. The bold front fascia, new front and rear steel bumpers, clear lens headlamps and fog lamps, large ORVMs, sturdy and slip resistant full length foot board, increased width and all terrain tubeless tyres make Gurkha sporty and give a strong stance. It comes on two Xpedition variants, two Xplorer variants and one Xtreme variant. 2.5 litre and 2.1 litre diesel engine options are mated to 5 speed manual transmission. Mercedes OM 616 derived engine makes Gurkha special.
The Xpedition provides unbeatable power and torque with 2.6 litre turbo charged inter cooled diesel engine. Most rugged and reliable frame, best in class ride quality with excellent suspension, smooth gear shifting, comfortable seating options for eight persons, snorkel intake for high altitude fresh air, hard top with AC to ensure total safety and comfort, make it a perfect off-roader.
Gurkha has given more additional features for Xplorer along with that we get in Xpedition like, 4 x 4 with different lock on axles, new centre console with ample storage, steel bumper for front and back with fog lamps and 4 spoke steering wheel to make it perfect for taking on the extreme conditions.
Xtreme is the new option with best in class power train; the 2.2litre engine provides smooth highly responsive torque. Best in class off-roading capabilities are given as it is the only vehicle in its class with mechanically actuated differential locks on both axles. Best in class ride and handling is given with excellent suspension. The snorkel mounted at the top provides high altitude fresh air. Class leading ground clearance makes it capable of crossing any terrain. Xtreme is available with 5+ D seating capacities. It is styled on the lines of the legendary Mercedes G-Wagen, the bold front fascia, new front and rear steel bumpers, muscular slide cladding, attractive graphics, clear lens headlamps with protective grille and front fog lamps, large ORVMs, sturdy and slip resistant full length foot board, increased width and the tubeless tyres give it a bold and sporty stance.
The 2596 cc 4 cylinder, TCI Common Rail, Diesel engine provides maximum power of 85bhp at 3200 rpm and maximum torque of 230Nm at 1400 – 2400 rpm. Single plate, dry friction, hydraulically actuated clutch is mated to 5 forward and 1reverse H type transmission. The five door off-roader comes with hard top body and has 6+D and 8+D seating options.

The Xplorer holds the same engine option with Xpedition and produces same power and torque. It has 3 door and 5 door options; with seating capacity 4+D and 5+D for 3 door and 6+D & 8+D for 5 door.
Xplorer 5 door has same dimensions as we have in Xpedition; while the 3 door dimensions are different. Length: 3992mm, Width: 1790mm, Height: 2055mm and it has 2510kg of Kerb weight.

The 2149 cc 4 cylinder TCIC diesel engine produces maximum power of 140hp at 3800rpm and maximum torque of 321Nm at 1600 – 2400 rpm. Single plate dry friction hydraulically actuated clutch is mated to 5 forward and1reverse transmission. Xtreme has only 3 door option and 5+ D seating capacities.
