November 03 : Motorola has confirmed that the Signature 27 will launch on November 5, following its earlier introduction at the Qualcomm Tech Summit. The Motorola Signature 27 is positioned as a premium smartphone, with a focus on high-end performance, advanced camera capabilities, thermal management, and a distinctive design.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, potentially placing it among the first smartphones in India to feature the chipset. Motorola has upgraded the processor from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 used in the original Signature to a newer chipset.
A combination of diamond-infused thermal gel and a 3D vapor chamber forms the phone’s cooling system, with the aim of preventing performance drops during extended use. The phone features an aluminium frame and glass-ceramic materials, complemented by a textile-inspired finish. The phone is expected to be available in Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive in India. The device comes with Bang and Olufsen audio tuning and four listening profiles covering music, movies, gaming, and podcasts.
The camera system includes a 50 MP Sony LYTIA sensor designed to capture images in low-light conditions and challenging lighting environments, including rapidly changing stage lighting. The 200 MP periscope telephoto camera works alongside Super Zoom Pro, a generative AI feature that supports zoom levels of up to 100x. Like other AI-assisted zoom systems, Super Zoom Pro may reconstruct image details at higher magnifications instead of capturing them entirely through optical zoom. The real-world performance of Super Zoom Pro remains to be evaluated.
