It is the birth of Sri Andal (Kodai Devi), who is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Bhudevi or Mahalekshmi. According to traditional temple history passed down through spiritual lineages, Andal was found as a divine child in the temple garden of Srivilliputhur, symbolizing the arrival of pure devotion into the world. In Vaishnavism, true devotion is not created only by human effort but is seen as a gift of divine grace from Lord Narayana through Goddess Lakshmi.
