Shah Rukh Khan
The fashion sense of the chubby-faced, long-haired Shah Rukh Khan in 1992 has evolved by miles over the last two-and-a-half decades. Throughout his career in Bollywood, he has been setting fashion trends—be it a sheer shirt or a fitted polo or a pathani kurta. The superstar currently juggles his style between the two extremes—comfortably cool and dashing formals. From loose suits and vibrant shirts, he has started donning sharp-cut suits and custom-made bandgalas and sherwanis—a style from where there is no looking back. Check out his style statement getting finer with every passing year.
During SRK’s Deewana days, he donned oversized and flamboyant shirts, shoulder-padded suits and not-so-impressive accessorises.
Since his blockbuster movie Baazigar, Shah Rukh set forth the trend of long hair, grunge leather jackets and nerd glasses. Throughout the 1990s, he donned mop of messy hair and also believed in accessorising his head. In Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naan, he donned a captain’s hat, in Ram Jaane, he used a red headband, in Pardes a floppy white hat and in Josh a leather headband.
By 2000-2003, King Khan had already established himself as the ‘king of romance’ and a global superstar. By now he has started striking the right style and has ditched his messy hair for smart meticulously styled hair.
By this time, Shah Rukh has started donning a casual avatar. White t-shirt or button-down white shirt, blue jeans and sneakers became his regular look. He has always been particular about his shoes and prefers half a size bigger than his feet.
It was around this time that we found the Badshah in well-fitted, custom-made suits and other outfits. During this time he has built an enviable physique, flaunting his eight pack abs and man ponytail look for the film Happy New Year.
By now, Shah Rukh’s fashion style has settled down, which has been a combination of cool and classic. He has now ditched accessorising and experimenting with colours, outfits and hairdo. King Khan has also started flaunting stubble.
The Badshah is one of the best-dressed actors in Bollywood. He looks dapper best in classic formals. Here he sizzles in a Dolce and Gabbana black and white tuxedo.
Shah Rukh’s fashion game is always on-point. He rocks in an all-black look. He pulls off a black tee or button-down shirt, paired with black baggy pants or jeans and black sunglasses. At times, he completes his look with a matching black leather jacket.
Now he knows what works well on him and never likes to experiment with new and modern styles or colours. He is mostly spotted in black T-shirts, jackets, ripped denims, sneakers and black shades. He swears by Dolce & Gabbana and Armani clothes.
Like his king-size life, his wardrobe is also king-sized and stacked with the most expensive and exclusive brands. Truly stylish, SRK has a cool and laid back style statement and often dons a roguish look. His red carpet looks have been turning heads. Be it in an Italian suit or a classic tuxedo or a stylish pathani suit, he rocks in all with his attitude and confidence.
