July 23 : Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital, on Thursday, strongly denied reports that he has been tested negative for COVID-19.
Reacting to a TV channel’s ‘Breaking News’ stating that the megastar has been tested negative and will be discharged soon, Bachchan tweeted strongly: “this news is incorrect, irresponsible, fake and an incorrigible LIE!!”
On July 11, Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19. Even though they had mild symptoms, they were immediately admitted to Nanavati Hospital. Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya also tested positive, but they were quarantined at home. Later on July 17, they were also shifted to Nanavati Hospital. According to hospital sources, all members of the Bachchan family are responding well to treatment.
From his hospital bed, the veteran actor has been in touch with his fans and posting gratitude messages on social media. He expressed gratitude towards his well-wishers and fans, who had been offering prayers for his family. The 77-year-old actor is also writing his daily blog as he undergoes treatment. Connecting with his extended family of fans, he wrote about “destiny” and “confinement” on his blog recently.
