October 21 : Bollywood is coming back to normalcy with actors, directors and production houses beginning work on their new projects and resuming shoot of their stalled films after taking all possible precautions against the coronavirus. Now it is Vidya Balan’s turn to resume work.
The Shakuntala Devi actress has reportedly resumed the shooting of her next film Sherni. The actress did a puja before the shoot was kicked off in Madhya Pradesh. Pictures of the actress performing a puja ahead of the shoot went viral on the internet. The actress can be seen sitting on the ground for the puja wearing a pair of denims, a black shirt, and a mask.
Directed by Amit Masurkar, Sherni went on the floors in March this year, but the shoot was stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Vidya plays the role of a forest officer, and the shoot will take place in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier, talking to Mumbai Mirror, Vidya said “When Amit narrated Sherni to me, I knew I wanted to do this film. The uniqueness of the story and its world appealed to me."
In February this year, the actress announced the film along with a poster of the movie. She wrote on her Instagram handle, “Thrilled to announce my next film - #SHERNI ... Cannot wait to start shoot!
