June 28 : Jimmy Sheirgill-starrer crime thriller Collar Bomb is all set to premier on Disney+ Hotstar on July 9. The actor plays a top cop Manoj Hesi, who strives to stop a suicide bomber from blowing up a school.
Sharing the teaser on his Instagram handle, Jimmy wrote, “#collarbombtrailer Sometimes, you need to commit some crimes to fight crime. Collar Bomb, releases July 9”
Earlier, the actor shared a poster from the film and wrote in the caption, “The clock is ticking. Collar Bomb releases 9th July! Buckle up, it's going to be an action-packed race against time and terror! @DisneyPlusHotstarVIP”
The thriller showcases how police officer Manoj Hesi wins the race against time, and catch the evil mastermind, while he strives to protect the innocent lives. Jimmy looks natural as he portrays the role of a police officer with intensity, who is controlled by a mysterious individual spreading fear and terror among people. Besides Jimmy Sheirgill, the thriller features Asha Negi, Rajshri Deshpande, and Sparsh Shrivastav among others.
Written by Nikhil Nair, directed by Dnyanesh Zoting, and produced by Yoodlee Films and 3 Earth Entertainment, Collar Bomb has the right mixture of crime, thriller, action, mystery, and more. The film will be available to subscribers of Disney+ Hotstar VIP and Disney+ Hotstar Premium under the banner of Disney+ Hotstar Multiplex.
In a statement, Jimmy said, “Collar Bomb is a really special project for me as it's a highly captivating thriller series about an unimaginable hostage situation.” He further said that the role allowed him to play around with a range of complex emotions. The makers of Collar Bomb has claimed that the movie has multiple unexpected plot twists and shocking revelations that one would’ve never seen in any other whodunnit.
