December 14 : Late bollywood actor Inder Kumar's wife Pallavi Sarraf is all set for her upcoming movie 'Phati Padi Hai Yaar', says that the controversial video of her husband Inder Kumar who in an inebriated state was talking about committing suicide, was actually the clip of the movie. She further added that just to prove it was not Inder’s real suicide video, we made the film.
Pallavi Sarraf was interacting with the media at the screening of the movie ‘Phati Padi Hai Yaar’ on Thursday in Mumbai.
Late Bollywood actor Inder Kumar died of an heart attack. He was shooting for director Partho Ghosh’s film Maseeha when he fell from a moving helicopter. He was doing his own stunts when it happened. He was advised bed rest for three years by the doctors and these years practically sounded a death knell for his career. In the controversial suicidal video, Inder Kumar is seen drinking alchohol and shooting his own video. It got millions of views and was believed to be his real suicide video.
When asked on the same, Pallavi said, “The video that went viral on social media was not at all authentic, it was actually a clip of the movie. After his death, just to prove this, I took a big risk and continued making the film. I even wanted to extract the negative impact of Inder from the minds of the people.
We got this project long back when he was alive. Inder was very excited, as he wanted to prove himself as an actor and also start his own production house on his daughter’s name. But the film received too much of negative response from the people, because after his unfortunate death the video got leaked and everybody declared it as Inder’s suicidal video. This act was so nasty and depressing that it affected our family to a great extent. This is Inder’s last film and hence I want his fans to watch it.”
‘Phati Padi Hai Yaar’ is produced and directed by Prem Mohan Girdhan and co-produced by Mohan Sachdev, Pallavi Kumar. The film stars Inder Kumar, Sunil Pal, Ibra Khan, Kanishka Soni and Anjana Das. It released on 13 December 2019.
