Delhi: AIIMS may conduct first lung transplant by August

AIIMS might be conducting its first lung transplant by next month. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences has received the licence to perform the li​fe-saving procedure. According to sources, three to four patients have been shortlisted for the surgery that involves replacing the diseased lungs of a person with a healthy lung received from a deceased donor.
