Imran Tahir produced a magical spell as Chennai Super Kings restricted Kolkata Knight Riders to 161 for eight at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. Tahir returned with figures of 4-27 as the hosts surrendered in front of the South African spinner. After winning the toss, Chris Lynn (81 off 52 balls) provided KKR with a solid start but the hosts lost wickets at regular intervals at the other end. Tahir, first claimed wickets of Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa in an over and then dismissed well-set Lynn and Andre Russell in quick succession to restrict Kolkata run-scoring. Shardul Thakur also chipped in with two wickets for Chennai.
