The history of the Omkareshwar temple is inscribed on the copper plate by the king.

Abbey Falls is a famous waterfall that is located at a distance of just 8 kms from the Madikeri town. The view of Kaveri River cascading down from 70 feet is simply fantastic. There is a hanging bridge in the Abbey Falls that offers a striking view of the fall and surrounding area. This place is chosen as the ideal picnic spot by tourists.

Madikeri Fort is a historic mud fort build in the 17th century by Mudduraja. Later on this fort was built using stone by Tipu Sultan. Gaddige is a historical monument with structure resembling the Indo-Sarcenic style. The place holds worldly remains of the royal family and court dignitaries. The Gaddige also has tombs of Raja Lingrajendra, Rudrappa, the Royal Priest and two tombs of Biddanda Somaiah and Biddanda Bopu, the royal officials who dies fighting the battle with Tipu Sultan.
